Die Corona–Pandemie im letzten Jahr trieb viele Menschen auseinander, viele Veranstaltungen und Zusammenkünfte wurden abgesagt, daraus entstand nicht nur eine kreative sondern auch eine physische Isolation und ein Bedürfnis nach Austausch.

Im Frühjahr 2020 startete daher auf Anregung des Kölner Projektraums 101PS Space eine Kooperation von 10 Künstlerinnen und Designerinnen. Nach zahlreichen digitalen Meetings folgte ein 10 tägiger gemeinsamer Aufenthalt in einer alten Klosterruine am Fuße des Calmont an der Mosel. Jede Teilnehmerin bereitete sich thematisch auf die Expedition vor und präsentierte nicht nur ihre eigenen Forschungsergebnisse, sondern leitete einen disziplinären Workshop für die Gruppe. Gemeinsam forschen sie an neuen Ansätzen für einen interdisziplinären Austausch und einen symbiotischen Designprozess.

Sieben Tage lang präsentieren die Designerinnen aus Frankreich, Niederlande und Deutschland in den Projekträumen GOLD+BETON und Mouches Volantes Ergebnisse ihrer Workshops zu dem Thema Alltag und Mystik. Dabei wurden sie inspiriert von historisch-kölnischen Frauenfguren, wie Agrippina oder St. Ursula, von Kölner Wahrzeichen, wie Matanés Taubenbrunnen, sowie kölnspezifschen Alltagsgegenständen, wie z. B. den antiken römischen Schlangenfadenglas-Objekten mit kölner Schnörkel und barocke Spiegeln. Die Designerinnen laden ein zu einem zeitgemäßen Dialog zwischen damals und heute, zwischen analog und digital.

Multilog digital – Mouches Volantes

Wie entwickelt sich der digitale Austausch zwischen Künstlern? Wie korrespondieren die individuellen Interessen mit den verschiedenen Disziplinen? Wie gehen diese Disziplinen ineinander über? Mouches Volantes präsentiert Werke, die in kleinen digitalen Gruppen entstanden sind.

Multilog analog - GOLD+BETON

Eine Woche lang verwandelt sich GOLD+BETON in einen physischen Arbeitsraum. Ein tägliches Observatorium, das den physischen Austausch zwischen den Designerinnen und den BesucherInnen fördert. Ein Raum des Austausches, der den GENIUS LOCI des Ebertplatzes erforscht, eingebettet in die Geschichten Kölns.

Für alle Veranstaltungen gilt die 2G+-Regel, d.h. zur Ausstellung ist der Zugang nur für geimpfte oder genesene Personen mit aktuellem Test und Maske möglich.

The Corona pandemic last year drove many people apart, many events and gatherings were cancelled, resulting not only in a creative but also a physical isolation and a need for exchange.

So in the spring of 2020, at the suggestion of the Cologne-based project space 101PS Space, a collaboration of 10 female artists and designers began. Numerous digital meetings were followed by a 10-day stay together in an old monastery ruin at the foot of the Calmont on the Moselle. Each participant prepared thematically for the expedition and not only presented their own research results, but also led a disciplinary workshop for the group. Together, they researched new approaches to interdisciplinary exchange and a symbiotic design process.

For seven days, the designers from France, the Netherlands and Germany will present the results of their workshops on the theme of everyday life and mysticism in the project spaces GOLD+BETON and Mouches Volantes. They were inspired by historical Cologne women's figures, such as Agrippina or St. Ursula, by Cologne landmarks, such as Matané's dove fountain, and by everyday objects specific to Cologne, such as the ancient Roman snake-thread glass objects with Cologne curlicues and Baroque mirrors. The designers invite a contemporary dialogue between then and now, between analog and digital.

How does the digital exchange between artists develop? How do individual interests correspond with different disciplines? How do these disciplines merge? Mouches Volantes presents works created in small digital groups. Multilog analog - GOLD+BETON

For one week, GOLD+BETON transforms into a physical workspace. A daily observatory that promotes physical exchanges between the designers and the visitors. A space of exchange that explores the GENIUS LOCI of Ebertplatz, embedded in the stories of Cologne.

The 2G+ rule applies to all events, i.e. access to the exhibition is only possible for vaccinated or recovered persons with a current test and mask.
